How to File a New India Car Insurance Claim in the UAE?
To file a New India motor insurance claim, here’s what you need to do —
- Take the vehicle to any of the approved garages
- Send the complete documents to the email IDs mentioned below —
- Policies issued by Abu Dhabi office — mtrclmsnia@newindia-uae.com
- Policies issued by the Dubai office — claimregistration@nia-dubai.com
- You can also reach out to the broker who assisted you in purchasing the policy
Documents to File a Claim
- Valid police report copy
- Copy of Mulkiya on both sides
- Copy of a driving licence (on both sides)
- Emirates ID copy
The garage will then provide a repair estimate and evaluate the loss. If required, a surveyor will inspect and finalise the repair costs.
Note —
- If the repair costs are above AED 5,000 (for non-agency repairs) and AED 10,000 (for agency repairs) for recovery cases, the LPO (Local Purchase Order) issuance can take up to 72 business hours from the time the third-party insurer is notified. This timeline is as per the guidelines of the Emirates Insurance Association.
- Total loss cases are handled separately. In this case, the provider will suggest an alternative procedure for these cases.
- LPO is released if everything is in place to start the repair.
Once the repairs are complete, the garage will notify you. Pay the policy excess (if applicable) at the garage when you pick up the vehicle, once the repairs are complete. Finally, inspect your car and then sign the Discharge receipt or satisfaction note.
