Booking an Appointment for COVID-19 Vaccine - An Overview
To begin with, here is a list of the modes available for booking COVID-19 vaccine appointments in the UAE -
The COVID-19 EHS app from Emirates Health Services (EHS) can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Dubai Health Authority can be contacted via the DHA mobile app (Google Play and the App Store) or by dialling the toll-free number 800-342.
SEHA also offers vaccinations at its drive-through facilities and temporary venues throughout the UAE. Bookings for the same can be made using the SEHA app, which is available both on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
How to Book an Appointment for COVID-19 Vaccine through the DHA App?
Follow these steps to book your COVID-19 vaccination appointment using the official DHA app -
Download the DHA App and log in using your UAE Pass or DHA Account.
Choose the ‘Book COVID-19 Vaccine’ option.
You will be redirected to the symptom checker procedure.
To find out if you're eligible to receive the vaccine, carefully answer the questions.
Select the closest location and the most convenient time to schedule your appointment.
After you confirm your appointment, you will receive an SMS regarding the same.
Before you visit the clinic, make sure to read the consent form.
Note that the Dubai health authorities have recently introduced a new booking option via its official WhatsApp line, making the process even simpler for UAE residents. The new service uses artificial intelligence or AI to streamline the booking of appointments as per the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
How to Register for the COVID-19 Vaccine in Dubai via WhatsApp?
Given below are the steps to be followed for booking your COVID-19 vaccine appointment using WhatsApp -
Add 800 342 to the contacts of your phone and send a "Hi" to this number on WhatsApp.
Select the language of your choice and choose option 3 to schedule a vaccination.
Before attaching your medical record number (MRN) to your WhatsApp account, you will be prompted to agree to a disclaimer.
The system will request a verification code sent to your phone. When done, reply ‘mrnlinked’.
You will be prompted to add or confirm another MRN.
After this, you would have to choose your nearest Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination facility.
You can submit your MRN, verify the vaccination facility, and select the date and time.
How to Book an Appointment for COVID-19 Vaccine through the EHS App?
The COVID-19 EHS application is another option for scheduling a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at your convenience.
Download the application and select Residents, Workers or Families from the booking screen.
Choose a category for appointments.
Provide the requested details, such as your name, Emirates ID, and contact information.
Choose your preferred Emirate, and desired date, centre, and appointment time.
Click "Confirm" OTP and follow the instructions.
Once the booking is made, you would be able to check the appointment card's details online and have an SMS confirmation with your appointment details sent to you.
