How to Check LIC Policy Status?

1. Check LIC Policy Status Online 

For New Users For Registered Users
  • Visit the official LIC website and click on ‘Online Services’
  • Navigate to the ‘Customer Portal’ under the e-services section
  • Select ‘New User’ to start the sign-up process
  • Fill out the online registration form with the required details
  • Create a username and password
  • After successful registration, check your registered email for a verification link
  • Verify your email — you can now access your LIC account to view policy details anytime
  • Visit the official LIC website and go to the ‘Customer Portal’ under Online Services
  • On the login page, choose ‘Registered User’
  • Enter your username and password to log in
  • Navigate to ‘View Enrolled Policies’ in your account
  • A dropdown menu will display all your LIC policies
  • Select the desired policy to view its details
  • You will find the status and complete information about the selected policy on your screen

Requirements for New User Registration

  • Policy Number: Ensure you have a valid LIC policy
  • Date of Birth: Enter your DOB in the DD/MM/YYYY format
  • Mobile Number: Provide a valid mobile number to receive alerts for premium payments, maturity, and dues
  • Instalment Premium: Enter the premium amount without including service tax
  • Email Address: Share a valid email ID for communication and updates

2. Check LIC Policy Status via SMS

To check your LIC policy status via SMS:

Text “ASKLIC” followed by the inquiry code from your registered mobile number to 9222492224 or 56767877.

Inquiry Codes:

  • Instalment Premium: ASKLIC PREMIUM
  • Revival Amount: ASKLIC REVIVAL
  • Bonus Additions: ASKLIC BONUS
  • Loan Amount: ASKLIC LOAN
  • Nomination Details: ASKLIC NOM

Example: To check policy status without registration, send ASKLIC <Policy Number> STAT to 56767877.

Important❗: If your number is not registered with LIC, you’ll receive an error message.
