The following are the key benefits of Orient job loss insurance in the UAE –

ILOE Coverage - Policyholders receive 80% of their gross monthly income or AED 15,000 (whichever is lower) if they lose their job involuntarily. This benefit is in addition to the state ILOE insurance and is provided for up to 3 months
Hospital Cash - Covers up to AED 400 per day for 15 days if hospitalised
Accidental Death - In case of accidental death, up to AED 100,000 will be given to the nominee

How Does Orient Job Loss Insurance Work?

Orient job loss insurance can complement state unemployment insurance, which covers only up to 60% of the basic salary.

For medical insurance clients, it offers extra benefits like daily hospital cash and ILOE coverage
For life insurance clients, it provides additional benefits such as accidental death cover, along with ILOE and hospital cash
It can also be promoted as coverage for school or college fees, rent or mortgage payments, and loan or bill protection for both existing and new clients

How to File a Claim Against Your Orient Job Loss Insurance?

Claims must be reported immediately and no later than 30 days after the event. However, payments for ILOE claims will only be made after the 30-day Waiting Period and the 90-day Initial Exclusion Period.

Here are the eligibility criteria for this plan under Orient job loss insurance in UAE –

Must be between 21 and 60 years of age on the policy start date
Must be employed in the UAE with a valid Emirates ID
Must have a permanent job
Monthly income must be at least AED 3,000

Note that you are not eligible if you fall under the following categories -

Aware of possible job loss
The employer has been in the UAE for less than 3 years or has fewer than 20 permanent employees
Working on a temporary or seasonal basis
