Current Petrol Prices in UAE

There are three grades of petrol on offer and the fuel price today UAE depends on which one your car takes —

• E-Plus 91 – AED 3.76 a litre. The cheapest grade, fine for older cars and basic engines.
• Special 95 – AED 3.83 a litre. The most common choice and what most cars sold here are built to run on.
• Super 98 – AED 3.95 a litre. A higher-octane grade for performance and luxury engines.

If you're not sure which to use, your car's fuel cap or owner's manual will tell you. There's no need to pay for a higher grade than the maker recommends. When you compare the fuel in UAE price across the three grades, the gap between them is only a few fils, but it adds up over a full tank.

Diesel Price in UAE Today

The diesel price in UAE is AED 4.33 a litre this month. Unlike petrol, diesel actually came down in June, dropping from AED 4.69 in May, which is welcome news for anyone running a pickup, SUV or delivery vehicle. Diesel is priced separately from petrol and doesn't always move in the same direction, so it's worth watching on its own.

UAE Fuel Price Comparison: July vs August 2026

Prices edged back up in August after July's drop and every grade rose by exactly 20 fils —

So the fuel rate in UAE today is a little higher than it was in July. If you mostly fill up with Special 95, you're paying 20 fils more per litre, which works out to about AED 10 extra on a 50-litre tank.

Are Fuel Prices the Same Across the UAE?

Yes. The price of UAE fuel is identical to the price in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. One national committee sets a single rate for the whole country, so a litre of Special 95 costs the same at ADNOC, ENOC and EPPCO no matter which emirate you fill up in. Where you stop for fuel is about convenience, not cost.
