Notably, UAE residents can also use the digital copy of Emirates ID card as their health insurance card. Cardholders can utilise their digital Emirates ID card number to keep a check on their health insurance uae status. This is immensely beneficial for all the groups involved, as it allows healthcare centres and cardholders to secure their medical data and have instant access to it.
The Emirates ID digital card can be downloaded from the ICA UAE Smart app, with the mobile application available for both Apple and Android devices. The following is the complete process explaining how to download digital Emirate ID card -
To begin with, install the application on your smartphone
Register yourself by creating a new account
You will be asked to type in essential information like your Emirates ID number, valid email ID, passport number, passport expiry date, and so forth
After your registration is done, an email will be sent to your registered email ID to validate your new account
As an alternate option, you can also provide your UAE Pass login credentials for the registration
Move to the Emirates ID section to scan the QR code
From the app’s ‘Document Wallet’ section, you will then be able to perform the digital Emirates ID download procedure
The new ICA digital Emirates ID will consist of your name, nationality, gender, expiry date, and a copy of your signature - all this information will be printed on the front of the card. Other than this information, employment details like occupation and employer, as well as the card number, can be found on the back of the digital Emirates ID card.
