How to Get a Sharjah Driving Licence If You Are Not a Resident Yet?

You can easily get a driving licence in Sharjah if you have a driving licence from any of the countries mentioned above. Just make sure that the driving licence is valid for up to one year. 

To apply for a Sharjah driving licence, follow the steps mentioned below —-

Driving Licence Tests in Sharjah: All the Important Tests

There are 3 major tests that you need to take to get your Sharjah driving licence —

  • Eye Test – This is one of the most important tests to get your Sharjah driving licence. Here, your eyesight and colour vision are checked to find out if you can look at both distant and nearby vehicles (and whether you have colour blindness). You can get your eyes tested at RTA-approved eye test centres in Sharjah — Rivoli Eyezone, Al Jaber Optical, Grand Optics, and Yateem Optics. The eye test for a driving licence in Sharjah costs around AED 150. 
  • Theory Test – The theory tests show the extent to which you have become aware of traffic rules and regulations. This test has 35 questions in total and it is mandatory to get at least 60% in the test. To prepare for this test, you can also take a mock theory test on RTA’s official website. 
  • Parking and Road Test – This is the last and the most important test in getting your driving licence in Sharjah. Before this practical test, you should take mandatory amounts of driving lessons at the designated driving school. Once they find that you are ready, you can take the test.
