This portal offers a convenient and simple tool to renew a driving licence online. Here are the steps to apply for a new driving licence or renew the old one: 

  • Step 1: The applicant will have to opt for an eye test from one of the many eye test centres
  • Step 2: Visit the official RTA website and locate the 'Driver and Car Owner Services' option
  • Step 3: Click on the option of ‘Driving Licence Services’ and upload all the necessary documents 
  • Step 4: Next, pay the required fees and fines, if any
  • Step 5: Following this, you will receive a temporary driver's licence, which you can print until the original driving licence is ready 
  • Step 6: This temporary licence will be valid for five to fifteen working days 
  • Step 7: You can get a driver's licence from the Happiness Centres in Al Barsha or Deira
  • Step 8: You can also opt for a driving licence delivery by paying an additional shipping charge of AED 25

Process2- Dubai Drive App 

The RTA Dubai Drive App provides a convenient and simple way for driver licence renewal in Dubai. This application is available for Android as well as iOS devices. 

Process3- Via RTA Call Centres

  • Step 1: Call the RTA call centre at 8009090 to talk with one of the agents about driving licence renewal
  • Step 2: Provide your licence number to the agent
