There are 3 major tests that you need to take to get your Sharjah driving license —
- Eye Test – This is one of the most important tests to get your Sharjah driving license. Here, your eyesight and colour vision are checked to find out if you can look at both distant and nearby vehicles (and whether you have colour blindness). You can get your eyes tested at RTA-approved eye test centres in Sharjah — Rivoli Eyezone, Al Jaber Optical, Grand Optics, and Yateem Optics. The eye test for a driving license in Sharjah costs around AED 150.
- Theory Test – The theory tests show the extent to which you have become aware of traffic rules and regulations. This test has 35 questions in total and it is mandatory to get at least 60% in the test. To prepare for this test, you can also take a mock theory test on RTA’s official website.
- Parking and Road Test – This is the last and the most important test in getting your driving license in Sharjah. Before this practical test, you should take mandatory amounts of driving lessons at the designated driving school. Once they find that you are ready, you can take the test.
