With thousands of people flying away for Spring break, The Dubai International Airport is set to handle a high passenger volume of more than 700,000 in upcoming weekends. All the flyers are urged to plan well ahead in advance and arrive a little early at the airport to avoid potential delays. Most countries, including Jordan, Italy, Maldives, Mexico, Austria, Norway, Mauritius, Bahrain, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, Ireland, Spain and Switzerland, have lifted travel restrictions (imposed due to COVID-19) for Emirati travellers.
As per Emirates Airlines’ latest news, passengers will be able to check-in without showing their medical documents and filling out locator forms during the upcoming holiday season. However, passengers need to carry their COVID-related medical documents for places where restrictions are still in place.
Emirates Airlines News has stated that the passengers must arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to their flight departure time. If you are also planning to travel for Spring break, make sure you have all your documents in place as mandated by the airport authorities. Keep reading to find out some convenient ways for priority check-in.
Here are a few simple and quick steps to check-in for your flight at Terminal 3:
Self-Service Kiosks:
Emirates Airport Terminal 3 has 16 check-in kiosks and 32 self-service bag drop machines. Passengers can use these for a hassle-free check-in. The best part about using this option is that passengers can get their boarding passes right away. However, they need to complete their immigration formalities at least 60 minutes prior to the flight departure.
Check-In Desks:
Passengers can also visit the check-in desks for convenient check-ins. People travelling to the United States can check in 12 hours prior to their flight departures.
Car Park Check-In:
Passengers can also use the car park check-in facility at Parking Zone C, adjacent to Terminal C for quick check-ins. Passengers can use the facility to check-in from 24 to six hours prior to their flight departure.
Online Check-In:
Passengers can always visit the Emirates website or use the mobile app for convenient check-ins. They can use the online modes to check-in as early as up to 48 hours and as late at 90 minutes before departure. The boarding pass can be downloaded instantly for the chosen destination.
Keep an eye on the flight schedules and other important details on the Emirates Airlines’ website or mobile app.
As per the Emirates Airlines travel guidelines, passengers over the age of 12 can use Smart Gates to streamline the passport control process before departure.
Operating hours for metro stations leading to Terminals 1 and 3 have been extended.
Passengers checking-in from Terminal 3 can consider using early and self-service check-in facilities to enhance their overall travel experience and avoid rush.
