What is the ‘My Salary Complaint’ Service?

Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) offers a service called ‘My Salary Complaint’. When you file a complaint through this mode, you remain anonymous to your employer. This way, you don’t have to worry about losing a job or facing consequences for reporting.

You can use this service to make a complaint confidentially. The issue could be that your compensation is regularly delayed or not made at all. You can also raise concern if you’re owed end-of-service benefits or overtime.

How to Report Unpaid Salaries Anonymously?

To file a complaint, you should first gather all the necessary documents —

• A valid Emirates ID
• Labour card number

Note: Make sure you don’t have any pending court cases or labour complaints.

You can file the complaint via the MOHRE app or the official website. Here’s how to do it —

• Submit your details on the app or website. This includes your
  • Passport number
  • Nationality
  • Name
  • Date of birth
• You will get an OTP via SMS or email. This is to confirm your identity before submitting the report.
• MOHRE will evaluate your complaint. If found valid, it will be passed to the Labour Inspection Department. The department will visit your organisation and address the issue with your employer while maintaining your confidentiality.
• You will be updated about the status via SMS once your case has been evaluated and resolved. The whole process can take approximately 14 days.

Maintain Your Records

Even if you’re filing an anonymous complaint, you need to collect evidence like–

• Bank statements or pictorial evidence showcasing missed payments
• Written conversations about your salary
• Employment contract or offer letter

Note – If you work in a free zone, the process will be different. To file a complaint, you first need to report the issue to the free zone authority’s mediation office. If the issue is not resolved there, they will provide you with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) so that you can take the complaint to the court.
