Dubai to Initiate Variable Salik Toll Rates and Parking Prices in 2025
By the end of January 2025, Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) is all set to bring in Variable Road Toll Pricing and Variable Parking Tariff Policies (which also include event-specific parking tariffs). These policies are coming in as a solid strategy to improve the traffic flow in the city.
All You Need to Know about Variable Salik Toll Rates and Parking Prices
The Variable Road Toll Pricing (Salik) system, launching in January 2025, will offer free passage between 1 am and 6 am.
Weekday tolls will be AED 6 during peak hours (6 am to 10 am, 4 pm to 8 pm) and AED 4 during non-peak hours (10 am to 4 pm, 8 pm to 1 am).
On Sundays, except during public holidays or major events, the toll will be AED 4 the entire day and free between 1 am and 6 am.
The Variable Parking Tariff Policy, starting March 2025, will levy AED 6 per hour for premium spaces and AED 4 for standard spaces during peak times (8 am to 10 am, 4 pm to 8 pm).
Parking tariffs for non-peak hours remain unchanged. Moreover, parking will remain free overnight (10 pm to 8 am) and the entire day on every Sunday.
Congestion Pricing Policy
The Congestion Pricing Policy, starting from February 2025, will charge AED 25 per hour for public parking near event areas. Initially, it will apply around the Dubai World Trade Centre during major events.
