SAAED Traffic System Services

The teams of SAAED for Traffic Systems use handheld electronic devices to create diagrams of crash scenes. They generate reports to analyse which party is at fault. Here are the primary services offered by this organisation.

Traffic Services

SAAED in UAE manages all the traffic services, including planning and responding to minor accidents. The service provider reaches the accident location within a short response time and tows the damaged vehicle from the road.

Road Support Services

SAAED for traffic systems also offers road support patrol services in the UAE. The patrol teams consist of technical and road support experts, providing the necessary support when required. The team helps navigate traffic disruptions while protecting other drivers on the road as they remove the broken vehicle.

Smart Services

Once the SAAED accident reporting team reaches the site, they collect information and analyse who is the faulty party using accident management systems. The website also offers information about repair workshops.

Smart Parking Management System

SAAED employs a tech-savvy parking management system. It helps drivers easily find a parking spot. The trained inspectors and supervisors assist the public in following parking regulations.

How Does SAAED for Traffic Systems Work?

Here is how you can report an accident through the SAAED for traffic systems —

  • Call 999 to report an accident.
  • Within 15 minutes, a patrol of SAAED will reach the accident site and complete the regular procedures. The traffic expert will also arrive at around the same time to complete the process and determine the party at fault.
  • The results are communicated to all the parties. If one of the parties disagrees with the result, the matter is referred to the police.
  • If all parties accept the result, they will get a receipt with the accident number, vehicle registration number, and date of the accident.
  • The accident report is automatically sent to the concerned insurance companies. You can also get the report directly from the SAAED website.
  • In some cases, the traffic expert can ask one of the parties to refer to the police station.

How to Report Minor Accidents?

You don’t need to dial 999 to report a minor accident, especially in Abu Dhabi. Instead, use the SAAED mobile application. Here is how it works —

  • In case of a minor accident, move your vehicle to a safe location. It helps in avoiding traffic obstructions and violations. Stopping in the middle of the road can result in a fine of AED 1,000, along with 6 black points.
  • Open the SAAED app and tap on the ‘Report Accident’ tab on the home page. Make sure you have a valid driver’s licence and vehicle registration card.
  • The app will detect your location when you enter your registered mobile number. Once done, click on the ‘Accept’ tab.
  •  Verify your identity using the verification code sent to your registered mobile number. Confirm the accident location on the map and tap on the ‘Next’ button.
  • Enter the details of the accident, including the accident type — collision between two cars, hitting an object, unknown accident, or hit and run case — and which part is at fault.
  • Upload the required documents. The list includes —
    • Copy of your driving licence
    • Vehicle registration

You can take a picture of your licence or upload a soft copy. Next, enter your licence plate number.

  • Upload images of the damaged vehicle and other damage caused to third-party vehicles. Select the damaged parts of the car and click on the ‘Done’ tab.

Once you submit the report, you will get a confirmation and an accident report number. You will receive the accident report soon after.
