UAE Halts Travel to Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon Amid Safety Concerns

The UAE has announced an immediate ban on travel for its citizens to three countries: Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq. This initiative comes as a result of ongoing geopolitical tensions.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in its official statement that Emirati nationals are now temporarily prohibited from travelling to these three countries as a precautionary measure.

Importantly, authorities have also issued an urgent advisory asking UAE citizens currently residing in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq to return home at the earliest. The Ministry has further requested to strictly comply with all official guidelines and stay in close contact with authorities for assistance.

The Ministry has also shared emergency contact options for citizens overseas and said it will closely monitor the situation while providing assistance when required.

This move reflects the UAE's proactive and careful approach in prioritising the safety of its nationals as tensions continue in parts of the Middle East.
