Plan Ahead: Rainy Weather Affects UAE Travel, Airlines Advise Early Airport Arrival
Rain is falling across the UAE, and it's expected to keep up until Tuesday. This weather is making it hard to see far ahead, especially on the roads. Because of this, if you're flying out of the UAE on Monday or Tuesday, you should head to the airport earlier than usual to make sure you don't miss your flight. This advice comes directly from the airlines in the UAE on Sunday.
Despite the rainy forecast, flights with Emirates, Etihad, and Flydubai are still set to fly out on time, without any changes because of the weather. Emirates has mentioned that heavy thunderstorms expected in Dubai on February 11 and 12 might slow down traffic to Dubai International Airport. They suggest leaving more time to get to the airport and checking in for your flight before you even arrive to make things easier.
Flydubai has also mentioned to give yourself more time to get to the airport. They recommend getting there four hours before your flight leaves. They also say to keep an eye on your flight's status by checking their website and to update your contact details in your booking. This way, they can reach you if anything changes. Plus, checking in online before getting to the airport can save you some time.
