AED 1 million Health cover starting @4/Day
Under the updated rules, all UAE nationals and residents planning their visit to Georgia must present valid health and accident insurance covering their entire stay. The insurance must offer a minimum coverage of 30,000 Georgian Lari (approx. AED 41,000). Also, note that the insurance policy must be either in English or Georgian. Otherwise, it won’t be accepted at immigration checkpoints.
As per the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, travellers must have the following details for their respective policies —
Failure to present the required insurance upon arrival may result in denied entry. Diplomatic, service, and special passport holders are exempt, but most regular UAE travellers will need to comply.
This change is an initiative by the relevant authorities in Georgia to promote traveller safety and border controls — especially as the country’s tourism continues to boom, with visitors from the UAE and beyond. In recent years, Georgia has emerged as a favourite destination for Emiratis due to its visa-free access, rich culture, and affordable travel experience.
