AED 1 million Health cover starting @4/Day
Georgia introduces mandatory health and accident insurance for all foreign tourists
Under the updated rules, all UAE nationals and residents planning their visit to Georgia must present valid health and accident insurance covering their entire stay. The insurance must offer a minimum coverage of 30,000 Georgian Lari (approx. AED 41,000). Also, note that the insurance policy must be either in English or Georgian. Otherwise, it won’t be accepted at immigration checkpoints.
What Do You Need to Prepare Before You Fly?
As per the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, travellers must have the following details for their respective policies —
- Insurance sum assured
- Insurance premium, payment tenure, and place
- Subject matter of the insurance
- Insured risks
- Covered territory list
- Commencement and expiration dates of the insurance coverage
- Parties to the insurance contract
Failure to present the required insurance upon arrival may result in denied entry. Diplomatic, service, and special passport holders are exempt, but most regular UAE travellers will need to comply.
