Three Ways to Put Your Eidi Money to a Fulfilling Use

On the occasion of Eid whether it be buying new clothes and indulging in sumptuous food, it is definitely on everyone’s to-do list. But the festival of Eid is incomplete without a special mention of ‘Eidi’.

If you have been saving your Eidi money for long without knowing what to actually do with it, we have few recommendations that you could try this year.

Let’s read them!

  1. Spreading Awareness & Charity

The Qur'an mentions:  “By giving for the sake of others, a Muslim is fulfilling a duty to those in need and preventing him or her from becoming proud of their own generosity.”

What better way to give back to the community than helping it grow.

You could use your Eidi money towards empowering vulnerable communities.

  1. Invest & Grow

We often miss the chance of investing when we have both time and money, only to end up regretting later.

If you have a stash of Eidi money (need not be big), the best thing would be to put it to work so that it could grow to fulfill your future necessities. It can be paying your university fees, looking after home expenses, buying a car, etc. The opportunities to spend are endless!

If you are just a beginner in the investment world and want to keep it on the safer side, your best bet is to invest in capital-guaranteed plans or child investment plans.

  1. Pamper & Relax

Is there something you have had your eye on for long but was not interested in spending your hard earned money over?

Eidi comes bearing gifts!

The festival of Eid does tell us to be generous and kind to everyone. What it doesn’t tell us is to exclude yourself.

So, go out there, take a vacation, or buy yourself something you loved but have put on a back burner, because Eid only comes twice a year!

Eid Mubarak.
