Lindo remembers the time he cared for a COVID patient. It was terrifying for him. Watching patients slipping away and in pain challenged him to his core. It was his faith that kept him going. It was the determination and the oath as a nurse to care for people that kept him standing tall for everyone.

An avid traveller and fun-seeker, Lindo has been in Dubai for some time and believes that we all are with a purpose and for a reason. He says, “You might not realize it yet, but eventually in the middle of your sleep or while walking under the scorching heat wherever you are, you’ll soon realize it. You just need at least a grain of hope for living. In my case, I have this strong feeling that I have to channel this purpose through my profession, Nursing”

Every day Lindo sports a smile on his face and continues to care for everyone around him to make sure that all of us across the UAE remain healthy and take this country to create more and more history.

A self-taught cook, she began at home and in 2017 opened She Burger. The place has even been graced by his eminence Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council turned up here for lunch.

She believes that every failure and criticism is a teacher and helps her to do better.

She has not only tickled the taste buds of the patrons but has made sure that the whole nation is remembered by people around the world with the delicacy she serves.

The man who wrote road signs of Dubai

Even in his fifties, Abdul’s hand could make calligraphy so beautiful that anyone would be awestruck by it.

Abdul Fattah, born Egypt and a resident of UAE came to the country in 1980 and worked for Dubai Municipality. He would write the road signs in Arabic with his hands. Today he is a teacher of Calligraphy. For him, Calligraphy comes naturally and he believes that even if the technology has taken over, the real magic still lies in the handwritten one. It provides authenticity to the art.

He feels proud that his skill came in handy when the city was growing. The nation has given him more than he expected, happiness, love and a legacy that can be seen all around Dubai.

When it comes to some great cuisine, People around Dubai surely talk about one place, Ravi Restaurant at Satwa. Whether it’s the Tikka Masala or Lassi, everything comes with a pinch of love that is embraced by people from all around the world.

With humble beginnings, Chaudhary Abdul Hameed started the restaurant in the 70s. He had little knowledge of the business but the country’s vision to do something extraordinary inspired him.

So, he started the restaurant which is now famous among locals, ex-pats and tourists.

In his words, it is the patrons who are the biggest brand ambassador of Ravi restaurant.

Every day, with 18 hours of work at the place along with his sons, Chaudhary Abdul Hameed make sure that every cuisine is served with such love and ingredients that it remains with the patrons for years to come and wherever they go, they talk about what great place UAE is, whether it is the food or hospitality.
